Not another sports analogy. Teams. Roles. Both important things when you’re trying to grow your business. Every team needs a coach. I was talking with a friend the other day about teams. He loves the concept of autonomous teams. Teams where everyone is pumping at full steam. But what happens when teams struggle? What happens if your team loses a few games? What happens when your team is in a slump?
Yesterday I had a planning meeting with a client.
Invited to the meeting was one of their new Junior Associates
We discussed the company's goals and plans for the coming year and then something quite different happened.
The Junior Associate who happened to be a millennial was asked to share her views on process, workflow and technical challenges she see’s in the business.
I thought it was awesome!
This company is doing something right in a big way!
They understand that there is a shift happening in the workplace.
As more millennial's enter the workforce they bring new and different ideas.
I thought the meeting was quite refreshing.
I'm seeing more and more of this approach and I expect it will continue.
I welcome it with open arms.
We need more young blood in our businesses.
I don't have all the answers.
Neither do you.
Open the door to new ideas in your business.
