Tech balls, get your tech balls here! Maybe it’s because of what I do. But it seems like there are always a million things to do. You sit down with a business to discuss their tech and the next thing you know, you’ve made a list of a few dozen items to address. Then it’s time to sort the tasks out and get them done. Then on to the next client.
I was doing some research yesterday and landed on a tech tool that solves a specific problem. Bam! With so many great minds in the world… I don’t know why I thought that there wouldn’t be a solution. But there was. No matter the issue. It’s very rare that you’ll have a problem that’s unique. A problem that hasn’t been solved before.
I was talking to a client yesterday and she said that our company is like Disneyland. That when her staff needs help. We greet them with a smile. We intently listen to their request. And then we help them get to their final destination. She said she appreciated that we’re not like other tech companies.
I was talking to an IT guy from another tech company yesterday. He asked me… Well, actually he didn’t ask me. He told me that all IT companies do things a certain way. I smiled and told him that I don’t do things in that way. Referring to a technical process. He was shocked. Now I’m not saying that I’m some sort of rebel.
In my tech travels I get to see first hand how companies work with the tech in their business. For some companies. It’s all about order. Everything is accounted for. Everything is aligned. Decisions are made with purpose and with meaning. Discussions are open and frank. And stuff seems to just work.
I have been to the mountain. And I know what well ran tech looks like. I have seeing productivity at levels you can’t comprehend. I have seen all this all of this and more. The challenge? You don’t see it. Heck, you don’t even believe it. You don’t even know it’s there. And as a result… You are leaving money on the table.
I work with a handful clients that use single sign-on. What is single sign-on you ask? Single sign-on is an access control process where you the end-user uses a single user ID and password to access a multitude of apps and services. In other words... You just need 1 username and password to access all of your business apps wherever they are. Single sign-on also known as SSO can help your business in the following ways.
