SHE CAME IN THROUGH THE BATHROOM WINDOW
I’m currently working with a new client.
Their tech environment was in a bit of a mess and so we’re working to get their tech right.
As we work through the onboarding process clients are typically very open to change.
THE CHANGE WINDOW
While we’re in the change window things are easy.
Little changes are approved.
Big changes are approved.
And all things tech generally improve.
And the result?
A better performing tech environment.
And a happy client.
DON’T CLOSE THE WINDOW
Once the honeymoon is over and things are working well.
The window of change begins to close.
It’s a fact of life.
We all do it.
We close the window.
Maybe not all the way—every time.
But the window opening does get smaller.
Maybe it’s our tolerance to change.
Maybe it’s our short term thinking.
Maybe we can only believe in something for so long.
Whatever it is…
It’s not good.
CHANGE IS A PART OF LIFE
Our openness to it determines our happiness.
It determines our success.
Our ability to embrace and navigate through change can make all the difference.
Don’t close your change window.
When it comes to tech in your business.
It’s important to remember that tech is a journey and not a destination.
Appreciate the milestones when you reach them.
But remember that the journey with your tech, as in life, never ends.
