Sometimes in life when things get difficult we have a tendency to step back—and let the situation unfold.
I see it all the time.
A challenge arises.
It’s more than you’re willing to bear at the time.
And so you take your hands off the wheel…
And let the car slowly drive off the cliff
We all do it.
Out of fear.
Out of trying to protect our egos.
Out of trying to not get hurt.
All in hopes that the situation will resolve itself.
Not to say that sometimes letting something run its course is a bad idea.
But that’s not the point.
The point here is the value of keeping both hands on the wheel.
You see, when we lean into a problem as opposed to stepping back.
The problem or challenge actually gets solved.
But wait, there’s more.
When we keep both hands on the wheel.
We grow as a person.
And that’s a good thing.
Actually, that’s a great thing.
To sum it up.
Keep both hands on the wheel.
It is in these moments that we shape…
Who we are.
What we stand for.
And ultimately our success.
So next time you face a challenge.
Remember to keep both hands on the wheel.
