Sometimes I forget how much tech is actually in my head.
I’m not trying to say that I’m some sort of technical genius or anything.
Just that there are a lot of tech words and phrases in my vocabulary.
In my role with helping businesses to get their tech right,
I often find myself in situations where I’m translating the tech into the non-tech.
It's what I do.
This is often referred to as - taking technology and turning it into business speak.
AKA - Helping people to make informed decisions.
Depending on the situation I may use different mediums to communicate information.
Sometimes I use pictures.
Other times I use charts.
Sometimes the situation simply requires just a good old fashion conversation.
At the end of the day the goal is to be able to have a conversation with someone about the tech in their business.
For them to understand the challenge and the solution.
And once we achieve that...
A client can now make an informed decision.
In certain cases we may want to make the decision together.
It just depends on the situation.
To get the tech right your business you don’t have to be a technical expert.
You don’t need to comprehend the inner workings of technology.
What’s required is your desire to integrate technology into your business.
To commit to doing something about it.
And to participate in the process.
I’m here to help.
It’s what I do.
