Tech Transition Blues

Thinking of switching out your service provider?

Thinking about switching out an employee?

There is that transition period.

You know, that brief window of change.

The ugly unknown.

It can make us anxious.

Or worse…

It can make us justify the pain we’re currently dealing with.

And that’s not good.

It’s very typical for a company to not let someone go, or to not change out a service provider for the sole reason that…

They just don’t want to go through a transition period.

And as a result, companies continue doing business with sub-par staff and sub-par providers.

I get it.

People hate change.

People hate transitions.

It’s just reality.

And so, most of the time.

It's not until something bad happens…

That we’re pushed over the edge demanding change.

But here’s the big thought.

You don’t know what you don’t have.

What you’ve never experienced.

Let’s take a walk

Imagine you change out your service provider with a new provider.

They come in and they do an incredible job.

They’re organized, they’re professional and they’re courteous.

Truly something you’ve never experienced before when hiring a service provider.

I have personally had this experience with several service providers.

They show up, do a great job, and they deliver.

It’s an awesome experience.

So much so, that I even recommend these service providers to other people.

I guess it all boils down to…

You don’t know what you don’t have.

The devil you know

So many people stay with what they know only because they have never had better.

And that’s a shame.

It’s also not a good approach to running a business.

Think about it.

Make that change.
