Can-Do Networks

This week I’m working on a couple of network projects.

I have a couple clients in the process of upgrading their networks.

We are replacing their “Best Buy grade” network gear with business grade network gear.

Here’s a lesser known fact.

Your network is the single most important part of your tech environment.

It is what connects you to the rest of the world.

Email, phones, apps…

Any communication your business uses to communicate internally and externally - all depends on your network.

Unfortunately, it’s where most people put the least amount of money.

Going to Best Buy or Office Depot and picking up a piece of network equipment is not a great idea.

The logic of…

Hey I use this for my house so it should work in my office is flawed.

To be fair if your business has a handful of employees and that’s your thing I’d say - do what you can to get by.

But if you’re serious about growing your business.

Serious about really standing for something in your community.

Then you should seriously consider getting your network gear up to snuff.

Upgrading to business class network is not as bad as most people think.

Typical life cycle replacement time is longer than computers and so your ROI is really good.

A few switches, a firewall and some WiFi access points and you’re good to go.

It’s not a difficult thing to do.

And still, most business just purchase the cheapest devices they can find and call it day.

And that is not by definition…

Getting your tech right.
