Would You Buy You?

Put yourself in your customer’s shoes.

No really, put yourself in your customer’s shoes.

Would you by you?

Would you buy your own products and services?

When I hear people talk about the challenges they have delivering their products and services it makes me think.

What is their customer experience like?

It could be something as simple as how your company handles invoicing.

For example, you just signed up a new customer and then your account department sends them invoice.

What’s that experience like?

You see, everything that follows the sale should reaffirm a customer's decision to go with you.

Heck, to stay with you would be more like it.

But the problem doesn't necessarily start after the sale.

In many cases it starts before.

From a holistic point of view - Everything about you and your business should work to reinforce the customer buying decision.

Don’t get me wrong.  This doesn't mean that you have to go out and create a dozen pieces of collateral, have a greatest website and wear designer clothes.

The key is simplicity and consistency.

If you can get these two pieces working for you you’ll have a good thing going.

So next time you're out selling your services - step back for a second and look at what you're doing.

Look at the whole picture and ask yourself.

Would you by you?
