Best Laid Plans

At some point even the best laid plans don't work.

Sometimes you prepare well in advance.

You develop a plan.
You even develop a back up plan.
You’re fully prepared!

Then...  dun dun dun.

Something goes wrong

It's inevitable.  At some point you're going to mess up.

No matter how much you prepare.
No matter how perfect you think your plan is

At some point you're going to mess up.

I'm not saying to not give things 100%, to make every effort to make sure that you have a bulletproof plan.

What I'm saying is...
Despite all the preparation.
There will be those times when you mess up.

It's in that moment - when you mess up - that your recovery becomes your moment to shine.

You see, real success is defined by your ability to recover more so than your ability to succeed.

You can’t have one without the other and your ability to recover is the key.

In the tech world, with all the variables that are being juggled - the probability of a mess up is highly possible.

So when that mess up happens - it's important to bounce back, to regroup, and to resolve the problem at hand.

You’re going to mess up.  So what are you going to do about it?

Maybe try a little Calm & Sense.
